Dennis William Young

Dennis William Young, 68, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born on January 18, 1954, to Delores Matlock.

Dennis was a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff, a member of Brown Chapel Church, and retired from Poplar Bluff City Cemetery. He loved watching Westerns, playing with his dog and was good at working on cars. Most of all, he dearly loved raising his children.

In addition to his mother, he leaves behind wife, Tracey Young; daughters, Mariah and Gabriel Young, both of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Sammuel Hood, and Regie Young, both of Poplar Bluff; sisters, Peggy Valeck of Wappapello, Vickie Young, of Kansas City, MO, and Faye Dianne Young of Florida. Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive Dennis.

Dennis was preceded in death by one son, Dennis King, in 2017.

Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services. Visitation will be held in the Chapel at 10 AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, with Services following at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
