Daisy C. Melvin

Daisy C. Melvin, 88, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was born April 25, 1925 in Nauvoo, Al. She had lived most of her life in Rockford, Il. Daisy was of the Baptist faith. She was a machine operator for Amrock/Globe Imperial. She is survived by two sons, Donald W. Stevens of Rockford, Il. and Joseph L. Melvin and wife Cindy of Caruthersville, Mo.; four daughters, Caryl Ann Johnson and husband Larry of Hamilton, Al., Sophrona N. Holland and husband Edward, of Cherry Valley, Il., Billie Jo Worley and husband Dennis of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and LaWanda Melvin and friend James of Rockford , Il.; one brother, Lawrence E. Williams of Benton Harbour, Mi.; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents Albert H. Williams and Sophrona L. Davis Williams.
