Carolyn Elizabeth Denton

Carolyn Elizabeth Denton, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. departed this life June 20, 2019.  She was born March 1, 1937 in Williamsville, Mo. to the late Lyman and Creasy Wood Rutledge.  She was the devoted wife of the late Dairel L. Denton, Sr.  Carolyn was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She loved being with her family.  She loved her dogs and took great pride in caring for them over the years.

She will be lovingly remembered by two sons, Dairel Denton ,Jr. (Genise) and Robert Denton (Marlene) both of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Patricia Throgmorton (Mark) of Little Rock, Ar.; six grandchildren, Melissa Bowman, Meredith Rines, Phillip Throgmorton, Amy Harris, Trustin Denton, and Lexy Haworth; and six great grandchildren, Olivia, Jeremiah, Greyson, Denton, Cara Lynn, and Charlotte.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at City Cemetery.  Mark Throgmorton will officiate.  Memorial gifts may be made to the City of Poplar Bluff Animal Control, where she donated during her life.
