Carol Ann (Wethington) Marler

Carol Ann Marler, 58, of Williamsville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born January 19, 1965, South Ruislip, England to Virgil Lawrence Wethington and Elsie Ann (Bowman) Wethington.  Carol married David Marler on September 21, 1989, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Carol was a longtime resident of Butler County.  Carol loved her family and being with her friends in her conversation lounge.

Carol is survived by her husband: David Marler; her parents: Virgil and Elsie Wethington; one brother: Douglas Mark (Cheryl) Wethington of Ellsinore; one sister Kathrine Sue Conner of Knobnoster, Missouri; several nephews and grandnieces; her beloved cat: Spug.  A horde of family and friends also survive.

The family request memorials are sent in memory of Carol Marler to the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1056, PO BOX 26 Poplar Bluff, MO 63902.

Funeral Service will be held Monday July 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.   Fitch-Hillis funeral home is assisting with all arrangements.

Celebration of Life for my Shining Star will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Elks Lodge in Poplar Bluff
