Carl Joe Clanahan, 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Monday, September 14, 2015 at his residence. Carl was born January 3, 1938, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Leo Harvey Clanahan and Ada Goldie Hendrickson Clanahan. He was a life time resident of Poplar Bluff. Carl was of the Pentecost faith and a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He married Julia Grady April 12, 1963 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She survives. Carl was a self employed dentist for over 50 years. He was a past president of the Southeast Missouri Dental Society, and a member of the Gideons. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Todd Clanahan of Cedar Hill, Mo.; one daughter Pamela Morrison of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Colver Clanahan, Kenny Clanahan, and Bill Clanahan all of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Mary Urich of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5 to 7 P.M. at the First Assembly of God. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the church. Rev. Paul Fishell will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
