Bonnie Lee (Elting) Stewart, 95, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021.
She was born on June 16, 1926 to the late William and Lola (Piland) Elting of Graybill, Missouri. She was a longtime resident of Butler County. Bonnie was of the Episcopal faith.
She was a housewife to her husband, George O. Stewart, and had many interests. She enjoyed traveling and finding antique treasures at flea markets. She was very active in bowling and golf in her younger years, earning several trophies. Another favorite activity of hers was gardening and canning. Family and friends were always welcome through her door.
Bonnie had two sons, Frederick Lee (who preceded her in death, survived by wife Patricia of Poplar Bluff) and Danny Rhodes (Jackie) of Poplar Bluff; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Dugger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Rhodes; two grandchildren, Teresa Rhodes of Poplar Bluff and Mathew Rhodes (Michelle) of Valley Park, Missouri and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her husband.
Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 in the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery of Bloomfield, Missouri. Rev. Annette Joseph will be the speaker. Social distancing and masks are suggested.
