Bobby G. Hudson

Bobby G. Hudson, 85, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Tuesday May 19, 2015 at John J. Pershing Veteran's Hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1929 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. to the late William Hudson and Maudie M. Tucker Hudson. He was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was married to Verna Osborn Hudson. She survives. Bobby served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the United States Postal Service. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Hudson and Greg Clanahan both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Hudson of Oklahoma City, Ok., Lisa Killen of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; and Cathy Schlotzhauer of Columbia, Mo.; one sister, Dorothy Lee Barkley of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A private graveside service was held at 10 AM May 21, 2015 at City Cemetery. Arrangement were under the direction of Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. His granddaughter, Victoria Schlotzhauer played Tapps. The Rev. Bill Clanahan officiated. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 1601 N.
