Bobby Wayne Butler, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died July 25, 2014 at John J. Butler and Pearl Beatrice Downing Butler. He married Sharon Kay Brown on May 16, 1964. She survives. Bobby was military police in the United States Army and later worked as a crane operator at Ryerson Steel Co. in St. Louis, Mo. from which he retired. He was a member of the VFW 5896 in Farmington, Mo. He enjoyed calling and playing bingo, and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Shanda Courtney (Kevin), Eric Butler and spouse, and Latanya Butler; one sister, Barbara S. Hill; two brothers, Billy G. Butler of St. Louis, Mo. and Jimmy L. Butler of St. Peters, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and a family he thought of as his own, Sarah Gibson, Howard Teasley, and Sabrina and Scott Bone. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Butler, one son, Bryan Butler and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Mo. State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. Friday, August 1, 2014. A luncheon will follow at the Bloomfield City Park. Arrangement are by Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home.
