Billy Wayne Burnes

Billy Wayne Burnes, 76, of Wappapello, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025.

He was born on January 23, 1948, in Portageville, Missouri to Billy J. Burnes and Frankie Jean (Caldwell) Burnes.

Billy enjoyed going fishing, playing softball and golf.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his partner, Linda James; one daughter, Amanda Burnes of St. Louis; two brothers, Michael Burnes of Texas, and William Burnes of South Haven, Mississippi; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ludia Beahear; his parents, Billy and Frankie Burnes; and two daughters Jennifer Mauldin and Cynthia Burnes.  A host of family and friends survive.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
