Betty Joan (Jones) Crabtree

Betty Joan Crabtree, 98, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away December 26, 2024.

Betty was born on November 5, 1926, in Williamsville, Missouri, to Floyd Jones and Osa (Dees) Jones.  She married Ward Crabtree on August 28, 1949.

She attended New Spring Church.  Betty enjoyed gardening, exercising, bicycle riding, doing crossword puzzles, canning what she grew in her garden, and cooking for her family.  She loved spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by one son, David (JoAnn) Crabtree of Poplar Bluff; and one brother Floyd (Judy) Jones, Jr.; three grandchildren, Lorie (Stephen) Matthews, Katherine (Adam) Johns, and Olivia (Zach) Rice; eight great grandchildren.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Osa Jones; her husband, Ward Crabtree; one brother Leonard Jones; one sister Margaret Pracht.   A host of family and friends also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel.  Interment will follow funeral service at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
