Betty Lou (Johnson) Buck

Betty Lou (Johnson) Buck, 95, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Cypress Pointe Nursing Home in Dexter, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born June 30, 1929, in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Rudy Franklin Johnson and Lola Mae (Bishop) Johnson.

She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff.  Betty enjoyed reading and canning what she grew.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was the caretaker of everyone and loved every minute of it.

Betty is survived by one son, Rick (Karen) Buck of O’Fallon, Missouri; one daughter, Deborah (Dennis) Wisdom of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Lafetra (Donal) Galyean of Knoxville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudy and Lola Johnson; one son James Buck; and one daughter, Sondra Meinz.  A host of family and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Temple Baptist Church with Brother Steve Patterson officiating.  Interment will follow funeral service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Poplar Bluff.  Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is assisting with all arrangements.
