Alice M. Hill

Alice Hill 81, of Wappapello, Mo. passed away Saturday March 1, 2014 with her family at her side. Alice was born Feb. 1,1933 in Naylor, Mo. worked for several years at the Holiday Inn in Poplar Bluff. In 1981 Alice married Clarence Hill of Iowa and they built their home at Lake Wappapello. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club. Alice loved being around her kids and grand kids. Alice had one sister and three brothers Edna and (Bill) Lisenfelder; Samuel and (Bonnie) Littrell; Leroy and (Deanna) Littrell; Charles and (Betty) Littrell. Preceding Alice in death were her parents, her husband, her sister Edna, and brothers Sam and Charlie. Alice's three children survive her and badly miss her: Daughter Linda and (Ronnie ) Gillihan of Poplar Bluff; son Larry Stricklin of Wappapello; and daughter Terrie and (Shannon) Stricklin-Holmes of St. Louis. Alice is also survived by her nephew Ricky Timbush and many loving grandchildren: Larry Jr., David, Jimmy, Tyler, Samantha, Amanda, Jason, Stacy, Shawna, Tony, Timmy and 12 great grandchildren. Alice leaves behind her dog Gizmo, as well as special friends Jan and Myrtle. Alice was truly loved as a mom, grandma, aunt and friend. She will be missed.Visitation will be Friday March 7, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fitch- Hillis Funeral Home Chapel.. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Rev. Kevin McAnulty will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetry.
