Alessa Louise Payne

Alessa Louise Payne, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021.  She was born August 8, 1966 in Dexter, MO.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She worked in the mailroom of the Daily American Republic for several years and more recently, as a housekeeper at Oakdale Care Center.   Alessa was an avid reader and enjoyed coloring books.  Cats were her passion and family her love.

Alessa is survived by her brother, Larry Payne of Poplar Bluff and special son, Larry Cook of Poplar Bluff with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Payne.

Visitation is scheduled Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel from 3:00-5:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the Fitch-Hillis Chapel at 2:00 PM.  Elder Robert Duckett will be the speaker.  Burial will be at the Cochran Cemetery.  Social distancing and masks are recommended.
