Melvin G. Dalke, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died October 3, 2016 at
A graveside service will be at City Cemetery, Saturday, October 15,
2016 at 11:00 A.M.
Evea May Payne, 94, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Monday, Oct. 17,
2016 at Mark Twain Nursing Home. She was born December 5,
1921 in Oxly, Mo. to the late Louis Henne Ogilvie and Laura Page
Ogilvie. Evea was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a
member of the First Church of God.
She married Thomas O. Payne February 16, 1941 in Corning, Ar.
He preceded her in death.
Evea was a beautician. She was owner and operator of her own
shop. She enjoyed crocheting, painting and watching cardinal
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Young (Larry) of Poplar
Bluff; two sisters, Marjorie Willcut of Poplar Bluff and Pansy L. Hart
of Cedar Park, Tx. and 13 grandchildren, Misty White, Danielle
Sprous, Matthew Young, Larry Young II, Bobby Baugh, Jimmy
Baugh, Allen Baugh, John Baugh, Lori Kovach, Larry Payne, Vicki
Walker, Gina Rogers, and Amanda Vinson; 25 great-grandchildren,
and six great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one
son, Larry Thomas Payne; one daughter, Laura May Baugh; 5
sisters, Carol L. Binkley, Pasty Kraft, Mary Vinson, Helen Chronister
and Juanita Ogilvie. Visitation will be Friday at 10 A.M. at
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11
A.M. Bobby Baugh will officiate at the service. Burial will be at
Lois M. Johnson, 88, a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died
Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at The Manor Nursing Home in Poplar
Bluff. Lois was born May 29, 1928 to the late Charles Bilbrey and
Elsie Shelton Bilbrey in Shook, Mo. She was a member of the
Family Worship Center.
She married Henry Johnson July 18, 1945 in Greenville, Mo. He
preceded her in death.
Lois work on the assembly line at Florsheim Shoe Company. She
enjoyed quilting, word find puzzles and playing yatzee.
Surviving are two sons, Henry Johnson of Potosi, Mo. and Charles
Johnson of Poplar Bluff; four daughters, Diana Mitchell of Qulin,
Mo., Joann Smith of Potosi, Mo., Charlotte Stinchcomb and Lorene
Swan both of Poplar Bluff; ten grandchildren, 22
great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by one
son Robert Johnson, two brothers, Charles Bilbrey and Herman
Bilbrey; and one sister Mary Cowin.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Fitch-Hillis Funeral
Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Rev.
Luther Goins will officiate. Burial will be at Hamtown Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home.
William "Bill" J. Kingery,Sr. a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo.,
died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016. He was born in Poplar Bluff, Feb.
11, 1941 to the late Glen Kingery and Virginia Hanna Kingery.
He married Laura Sue Kingery May 1, 1988. She preceded him in

Bill is survived by two sons, Billy Kingery Jr. of Dexter, Mo. and
Dustin Kingery of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Amy Ethridge of
Poplar Bluff, Connie Kingery of Mount Ulla, N.C., and Elaina Kingery
of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Mildred McCulley; and four
grandchildren. Also a very special close friend and adoptive mother
to his children, Helen Jordan.
Visitation will be Monday at 9:30 A.M.at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home
Chapel. The funeral will follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be in
Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Earl William Sheehan, 60, a long time resident of Poplar Buff, Mo.,
died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical
Center. He was born in St. Louis, Mo. July 21, 1956 to the late Earl
Sheehan and Leverne Junkerman Sheehan.
Earl married Tena Hanks in St. Louis August 23, 1974. She survives.

Poplar Bluff; one brothe5r, Leroy Sheehan of St. Louis, Mo. and one
sister Brenda Coleman; and nine grandchildren.

Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11 A. M.
James L. Jackson, 58, a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died
Saturday, Oct. 23, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He
was born May 14, 1958 in Ripley, Tenn. to James D. Jackson and
the late Mary D. Lovell Jackson.
James was an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed his job very
much. He also enjoyed cooking, taking photos, hunting, working on
cars, and just being a handy man.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Jackson of Poplar Bluff:
one brother, Bobby Rhea Jackson of Buchanan, Mi.; and one sister,
Veronica Jackson Henderson of Ripley, Tenn.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 4, 2016, at 3 P.M. at the Mo.
State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. James D. Jackson will
Michael A. Spradley ,67, of Cedar Hill , Mo., died Sunday December
25, 2016. Michael was the son of the late Beulah Osborn and William
Spradley. A private graveside service will be held at noon, followed
by burial at Memorial Gardens Wednesday December 28, 2016.
Marjory P. Manns, 81, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died December 12,
2016 at Westwood Hills Nursing facility. She was born August 13,
1935 in Butler County, to the late David Walter Edwards and Ida
Alexander Edwards. She was a member of the South Poplar Bluff
General Baptist church.
She married Martin Manns Oct. 20, 1957 in Poplar Bluff. He
preceded her in death July 10, 2015.
Marjory was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting,
gardening, fishing, going to church and reading her Bible.
She is survived by one daughter, Millie Campbell of Poplar Bluff; two
brothers, David Edwards of DeSota Mo., and Robert Edwards of
Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Louise Ray of House Springs, Mo. and
Josephine Martin of Sikeston, Mo.; two grandchildren, Matthew and
Angela Campbell; five great grandchildren, Jessie Campbell, Michael
Light, Kayla Light, Jonathan Campbell, and Miles Campbell.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one brother,
Elbert Edwards. A visitation will be Friday at 11 AM at Fitch-Hillis
Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon.
