Lola Irene Feverston (Hillis), 85 died November 1, 2013 at her residence.
Lola was born August 16, 1928 in Butler County, Mo. She married
Charlie Feverston on January 3, 1948 in Piggott, Ar. He preceded her in
death. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was an

grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild,
all from Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by ber parents, Walter and Eva (Strange)
Hillis; brothers; Verley, Erney, Charles, Willard, Arthur, Donald, and
Cecil; sisters: Ethal Welsh, Dessie May Hillis, and Dorothy Mayes..
.Vistiation will be Tuesday 10 AM to 12 PM at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral
Chapel. The funeral will follow at 12 PM. The Rev. James Greer and
Rev. Lawrence Hillis will officiate. Burial will be at Marble Hill.
2013. Bob was born July 31, 1932 to Charles and Gladys Coleman
Nelson. On September 9, 1950 he married Ava Butts.
Bob owned and operated Ozark Beverage Distributorship and later was a
self employed building contractor. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was
a member of the Poplar Bluff Blue Lodge 209, 32 degree Scottish Rite,
Moolah Temple Shrine, Poplar Bluff Eagles and American Legion Post
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Mr. Nelson is
survived by two sons, Charles Nelson of Colo., Greg and Kim Nelson of
Poplar Bluff,; Two daughters, Sharon and Bob Betterby and Karen Nelson
of Poplar Bluff and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Fitch-Hillis
Funeral Home Chapel at 11 A.M. with funeral services at 12 noon. The
Rev. Vernon will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the Poplar Bluff Blue Lodge. .
Robert W. Parsons, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Thursday November
21, 2013. He was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff. Robert was born
in E. Chicago, Indiana September 12, 1935. He was a member of the
Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Robert enlisted in the Air Force at 17, and
retired as a Master Sargeant in 1972. He moved his family to Poplar
Bluff. He graduated from TRCC with an associates degree in Business
Mid Management. He was a Snap-On Tool salesman for six years, and a
salesman for Orgill Brothers Hardware & Supply for 20 years. He retired
in 2000. He was a handyman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling.
He loved classical music and history. He was a life member and past
Commander of Frances Boyer Amvets Post 29 and a member and past
trustee of the Eagles Lodge #3730.
Robert married Jean Lourene Stickel May 22, 1954 in Hammond,
Indiana. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Edward Parsons and Kathryn of Bellville, Il.,
William Parsons and Tracy of Rolla, Mo.; four daughters, Kathryn
Skippers and Marc of Michigan, Barbara Robinson and Michael of Poplar
Bluff, Mo., Helen Buller and Levon of Virginia, Connie Roberson and
Kevin of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Constance Champion and Craig
of Iowa City Iowa, Barbara Hussussinn and Jacques of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three

Grabowski Parsons, and one daughter, Alice Kay East.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10 to 11 AM at the
Holy Cross Episcopal Church, followed by a memorial service at11 AM.
Rev. Annette Joseph will officiate. Burial and military honors will be at 1
PM at Mo. State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. The family requests
in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church,
420 N. Main St., Poplar Bluff, Mo. 63901.
Larry Thomas Johnson, Sr., 70, of Doniphan, Mo. died Saturday
November 23, 2013. He was born June 10, 1943, in Pemiscot County.
He was a long time resident of Butler and Ripley counties. Larry retired
from the V.A. Hospital as an LPN. He served in the U.S. Army during
Vietnam. He was a member of the Oglesville General Baptist Church. He
enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends.
He is survived by one son, Larry T. Johnson II of Doniphan, Mo.; one
daughter, LaDonna Kay Bailey of Henry Tenn.; one brother, Jerry
Johnson of Cauthersville, Mo.; two sisters, Dee Roach of Paragould, Ark,
Shelia Hartenstein of Lake of the Ozarks; seven grandchildren, twelve
great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ira E. Johnson and Hattie P.
Visitation will be at 10 A.M Wednesday at Oglesville General Baptist
Church followed by the funeral service at 11 A.M. The Rev. Bub Ham
will officiate. Burial will be in the Oglesville Cemetery.
