Elvie J. Fann, 96, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was born March
5, 1917 in Montgomery County Arkansas. He was a longtime resident of
Ripley Co. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married Mildred Pulliam in Senath Mo. January of 1943. She survives.
Mr. Fann was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and whittling.
Also surviving are one son; Bill Fann of Doniphan, Mo., one daughter;
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jefferson D. Fann and Margaret
Helen Vandover Fann, one daughter, Helen Marie French and one
granddaughter Therese Fann.
A graveside service will be Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at
Gum Cemetery in Fairdealing, Mo. The Rev. Calvin Buhler will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Tokie Koonce, 89 died, March 10, 2013 at her residence in Poplar Bluff,
Tokie was a member of the Morgan Corner Pentecostal Church. She
was a seamtress at the Florsheim Shoe Factory. She enjoyed sewing.
Tokie is survived by one son, John Koonce; four grandchildren, and nine

Elizabeth J. McLean, 84, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Poplar
Bluff, Mo. She was born June 10, 1928 in Burbank, Mo. in Wayne
County. Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff. She was a
member of the Community Church of Christ.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening,
canning, cooking for her family, and a member of the Eastern Star.
Elizabeth is survived by five sons; Robert McLean of Greenridge, Mo.,
Frank McLean of St. Louis, Mo., Louis McLean of Puxico, Mo., David
McLean of Independence, Mo., and Daniel McLean of Poplar Bluff, Mo.;
three daughters, Beverly Holrath, Ruth Zahner, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo.,
and Dorothy Contini of Lancaster, Ky.; two sisters, Bessie Taylor of
Hampton, Va., Helen Brenenstahl of Long Beach, Wa.; twenty three
grandchildren and nine great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas G. McLean, her
parents Claude L. McAllister and Laura A. Barks McAllister; one son,
Loven McLean and one brother Hershel Lee McAllister.
Visitation is Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 am at Fitch-Hillis Funeral
Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel. Brother
Jack Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in
Greenville, Mo. Memorials may be made to UCAN.
Joe Allen Sullivan, 57, died March 5, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was
born Nov. 30, 1955 in Poplar Bluff, and was a lifetime resident.
Mr. Sullivan was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed
with E-Z Way Delivery.
Mr. Sullivan is survived by his mother, Wanda Sullivan of Poplar Bluff;
one son, Chris Sullivan of Jonesboro, Ar.; four brothers David Sullivan of
St. Louis, Mo., Berry Sullivan, Tim Sullivan, Tony Sullivan, all of Poplar
Bluff; and one grandchild Kaylee Jo Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Sullivan and one
sister, Carol Zurhurst and one brother Bobby Lee Sullivan.
Funeral services will beThursday, March 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Riddle and Bro. Junior
Bennett will officiate. Burial will follow in City Cemetery.
Hector Manuel Salgado, 60, died March 18, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He
was born June 11,1952 in Manhattan, New York to Carmen and Hector
Salgado. He was a school bus driver. He is survived by his daughter
Megan Schister. He is also survived by Vicky Torrensin.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness. They will be
having a private good-bye at a later date.
She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was a member of
the First United Methodist Church.
She was married to Ralph Allison. He survives.
Mrs. Allison was a self-employed physical therpist. She attended
Penn.State University and University of Pennsylvania. She enjoyed sports

Paducah, Ky., and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John deGaston and Katherine
Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in
the chapel. Rev. David Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in City
Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the Red Cross.
John R. Murphy, 86, died March 28, 2013 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was
born October 2, 1926 in Dalgreen. Ill. He was a long time resident of
He owned and managerd several rental properties.
He enjoyed being outside, taking care of his animals, and visiting with
family and friends.
Mr. Murphy is survived by one brother, Kenneth Murphy of Poplar Bluff,
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John A. Murphy and Minnie
Burgin Murphy; two brothers, Harold Gail Murphy and Curtis Murphy.
Visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. until 12 noon at
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 12
noon. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
Mo. She was born October 2, 1931 in Broseley, Mo. She was a life time
resident of Butler County. Mary was a member of the Southside
Assembly of God Church.
She was retired from nursing, having worked at Poplar Bluff Regional
Medical Center and Oakdale Care Center. She enjoyed reading, traveling
and her job.
She married Robert Haynes in 1948. He preceded her in death March 30,
1988. She married Curtis Hendricks in 2006. He preceded her in death in

Mo.; one daughter, Janice Thurman of Collierville, Tn.; three sisters,
Elizabeth McGhee of Odessa, Tx., Bonnie Starnes of Cuba, Mo., and
