Zadie Mae Campbell, 90, of Qulin, Mo., died Saturday, June 11, 2011.
Mrs. Campbell was born March 16, 1921. She was a homemaker and a longtime
resident of Butler County. She enjoyed sewing, watching soap operas, reading the

Eva Catherine Sparks, 89, of Hillard, Mo., died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at her
A lifetime resident of Butler County, Mrs. Sparks was the owner/operator of Hillard
Grocery in Hillard.
She also taught school at Bluewater; she was a member of the Geneology Society
of Butler County. Mrs. Sparks other interests included sewing, crochet, gardening
and church work. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
The daughter of William T. Magill and Lida (Fuller) Magill. Mrs. Sparks was born
on December 12. 1921, at Henderickson, Mo.
On April 26. 1942, she married Granvil D. Sparks.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Hicks and husband, Edward Hicks II; four
sons, David Sparks and wife, Betty, Daniel Sparks, Dale Sparks and wife, Pat,
Dewey Sparks and wife, Lee, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Many grandchildren, Linda
Pitt, Chantal Jamieson, Edward Hicks III, Roshelle Kinder, Eric Hicks, James
Sparks, Jared Hicks, Randy Sparks, Dodi Riley, Catherine Wood, Adam Sparks,
Matthew Sparks, Kimberly Wren, Parker Fowler, Mike Sparks, Mindy Sparks,
Steven Sparks, and Luke Sparks; 41 great grandchildren; and one sister, Clara Bell
Magill of Puxico, Mo.
Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one sone,
Barbara Wilson age 60, a lifetime resident of Poplar Bluff, died Monday June 13,
2011 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Wilson was born August 3,
1950 at Elk, MO. Mrs. Wilson attended Collins Chapel Church. She enjoyed reading
and fishing. Her husband Larry Wilson precedes her in death. Mrs. Wilson is
survived by her mother Mrs.Dessie (Dunn) Whoberry of Poplar Bluff ; one
daughter, Christina Loucks of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Jerry Whoberry of
Wappapello, and Bill Whoberry of Poplar Bluff, MO; one sister, Jeanie Riled of
St.Ann, MO.; and three grandchildren.
Donald A. Deason, a retired employee of Williamsville Stone/Porter Dewitt
Company, was promoted to be with the Lord on June 09, 2011 at the Poplar Bluff
Regional Center.Mr. Deason was born near Williamsville, MO, son of the late Burvy
and Martha Deason, on September 11, 1929. He was united in marriage to his best
friend , Pansy Lee Teetor, who survives, on February 07, 1953. Their devoted
loving son, Robin Deason, resides in Springfield, MO. Other survivors include a
beloved sister, Jane Boyer, Festus, MO and many beloved nieces and nephews. Don
loved his family, friends, and his First Assembly of God Church Family. He was a U.
S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.In addition to Don’s parents, he was preceded
in death by siblings, Lavada,Violet,Clifford, Everett, Wilburn, Paul, Burt, Vern, and
Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, MO.
Mrs. Palmer was employed by the Kansas City Star news paper in Kansas City,
MO. She also enjoyed doing scrapbooking and needlework.
On Febuary 14, 2005 Margaret married Bob Palmer, in Poplar Bluff, MO. He
Other survivors include two sons, Larry Baxler Lippard, of Baltimore, MD.,
Clarence Edward Lippard, Colorado Springs, Co; and one daughter, Kathy Diane
Lippard, of Braden, FL.;
Mrs. Palmer was the daughter of Frank W. Brooks and Nannie Mae (Christy)
Brooks. They preceded her in Death.
