James D. Greer
Stella Jupp, 83, died July 23, 2012 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  She was born Jan. 31,
1929 in Indianna.  Stella was of the Catholic faith.  She retired as a supervisor with
Continental Airlines.
She is survived by three sons; George Jupp and Charles Jupp both of California, and
Robert Jupp of Williamsville, Mo.; three daughters, Cynthia Jupp and Marie Jupp
both of Poplar Bluff, and Carol Raymer of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Three brothers;
Charles Stewart of Indianna, Joseph Stewart and Carl Stewart  both of California,
and one sister; Judy Buldac of California, and 14 grandchildren.
Carla Shanks, 55, died July 25, 2012 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.  Carla was a longtime
resident of Poplar Bluff.  She was born in Orange County, California.  She was a
home maker and enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons; Zero Sutton of Poplar Bluff, Franizco Peet of North
Carolina, and Shawn Beasley of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter, Denise Murph of
Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Virgil T. Brown of St. Louis, Mo. and Nolan Brown of
Warren, Mi.; two sisters, Vivian Dwyer of Alexandria, Va. and LaDonna Ogas of
St. Louis, Mo.; and 8 grand children
James Dale Greer, 72, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at his
residence.  Mr. Greer was born Nov. 10, 1939 in Fisk, Mo.  He was a member of
the Rombauer General Baptist Church.  Mr. Greer enjoyed hunting and fishing, and
collecting and polishing rocks.  
On Sept. 30, 1960, he married Helen Appleby.  She survives.
Also surviving are two children; Terry Greer and wife, Tammy, and Tina Phelan
and husband, Grant, all of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Jr. Greer of Rainier, Or.; three
sisters, Ruby Goodrum of Poplar Bluff, Edna Cassity of Danville, Ind. and Majorie
Anderson of Reno, Nv.; five grandchildren, Rev. James Greer of Rombauer, Jodie
Newell of Spokane, Wash., Amy Williams of Jonesboro, Ark., Logan Baker of
Lompoc, Calif., and Rusty Phelan of Poplar Bluff; and 6 great-granchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. at
Fitch-hillis Funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. James D. Greer and Rev. Jim Schremp
will officiate.  Burial will be in Sparkman Cemetery.
