Clara J. Warren, 83, died Feb. 8, 2012 at Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born Jan. 29,
1929 in Poplar Bluff, and was a lifetime resident.
Miss Warren was employed at Krogers for over 30 years as office manager.
Clara was a seamtress, loved gardening and being out doors. She liked helping
people and animals out of kindness. She loved to watch old movies and TV shows.
Surviving are one sister, Mary Liming of Rose Hill, Ks.; one niece, Vickie Hess and
two nephews, Steve and Scott Warren.
Sharon Westmoreland, 81, died Feb. 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born Sept.
Sharon lived in Patterson, Mo. before moving to Poplar Bluff 10 years ago.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was employed at Bluff Lanes bowling alley. She
enjoyed bowling and crocheting.
Memorials may be made to the Poplar Bluff Youth Bowling Association.
dearly missed by her family. Her family was blessed to have her for 92 wonderful
years. Valrie loved and served the Lord her whole life.
Valrie was employed by Delmonte as a machine operator. She enjoyed working in
her yard, gardening, visiting the sick, reading her bible, cooking and spending time
with her grandchildren.
She Married Roy Ward Nov. 28, 1936 in Corning Ar. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents Enoch Jacob and Mary M. Robertson.
Two sisters, Bessie Vincent and Wonda Sells, and one brother Noah Robertson.
She is survived by two sons, Art Leroy Ward and Ralph Paul Ward and wife Vada.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tammy and close friend Gary, Steven and
wife Teresa Ward, Roxanne Chang and husband Chris, and Jr. Ward. Four great
grandchildren, Christina and Crystal Haynes, and Ciera and Brendan Chang. Two
great-great grandchildren, Katelyn and MaKenzie.
Gloria Dawn Hernandez, 81 of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Friday Feb. 17, 2012 at the
Westwood Hills Healthcare facility. Mrs. Hernandez was born January 22, 1931 in
Porterville, California to the late Charles Leo Cassidy and Lois Opal (Bracken)
Cassidy. She was of the Baptist faith. October 4, 1987, she married Al Hernandez in
Las Vagas, Navada. She is survived by her husband, two sons; Dennis R. Clark
and Rickey L. Clark both of Poplar Bluff, one daughter; Margaret A. Ramsey also
of Poplar Bluff. one brother; Richard Cassidy of Batesville, Arkansas. three sisters;
Nancy Thomas of Las Vagas, NV, Becky Gordan, of Mexico City, Mexico and
Linda Cassidy, of Cave City, Ark.
A Memorial Service will be held from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February
22, 2012 at the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Jared Hancock
