was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Coon Island Township, Neelyville, Mo. to
Charles and Lula D. Butler Casinger. Mr. Casinger was an Army veteran
of the Korean War.  August 23, 1952 he married Lois Nelson she
survives. Before retiring, Oscar was a mill wright welder for Hamilton
Sunstrand Aviation.  Mr. Casinger was a member of the Friendship
General Baptist Church of Coon Island. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and
recounting stories of his childhood.  
Other survivors include one daughter Kathy Veer, of South Carolina; three
sons; Joseph Casinger (Muriel) , James Casinger (Ray Ann)  and Gerald
Casinger all of Ill., six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  
One sister Sophia Britton of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Visitation will be 10 am to 11 am Thursday Dec. 12, 2013 at the
Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral at 11a.m. with Rev. Allen
Leutert officiating. Burial will follow at Coon Island Cemetery.
Oscar E. Casinger
Jessica Hicks, 23, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Dec. 22, 2013 in
Springfield, Mo.  She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff.  She
was born in Houston. Tx.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Jessica
graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in 2008.   She was employed
family and friends.  
Jessica is survived by her father, Eric Hicks of Poplar Bluff, mother
and step-father Virginia Porter and Robert Porter of Williamsville, Mo.;
paternal grandparents, Ed and Joyce Hicks of Poplar Bluff; two
brothers , Kenny Hicks and Quentin Hicks both of Poplar Bluff; and
three sisters, Christen Hicks of Houston, Tx., Sarah Hicks of Poplar
Bluff, and Lauren Landers of League City, Tx.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at 5 to 7 PM at Fitch-Hillis
Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 AM at the
chapel.  Burial will be in Ingram Cemetery in Supply, Ar. Rev. Sheldon
Tyler will officiate.
CarolAnn Bryan, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. died Sunday Dec. 8, 2013.  
CarolAnn was born Aug. 13, 1937 in Poplar Bluff and was a life time
resident.  CarolAnn was a member of First Baptist Church.  She was an
instructor for the Dental Assistant Program at Three Rivers Community
College, and a registrar at Three Rivers for 33 years.
August 23, 1958, she married Ray Bryan.  He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Bill Bryan, and Bob Bryan (Sheila Blaylock)
both of Poplar Bluff, and Jim Byran of Beebe, Ark.; and one
great-granddaughter, Savanah Jaco of Poplar Bluff.
She was preceded by her mother Marilyn Bess Thrower; one sister,
Nancy Jo VanDover and one granddaughter, Mandy Jaco.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 10 AM, followed by a
memorial service at 11 AM in the Fitch-Hillis Funeral Chapel.  Dr. Bill Vail
will officiate.  The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be
made to the charity of your choice.
